Yeah - the Phenom II X4 965 is fine although I guess you wouldn't notice the difference to the smaller 955 model which might save you quite some money depending on how the prices at your favorite shop are. I'd also recommend a nice CPU-Cooler like a Scythe Mugen 2 so your ears won't fall off...

Concerning the graphics card - well if you're into high-end graphics there's no way around a HD5870 but as I said it might be a good idea to either stick with what you currently have if that's possible or get a HD5770 as a short time solution until the new cards are out in October so you can get the HD5870 follow-up card. Rumors say it's going to be up to 20% faster but that might just turn out to be some fake news...
