The last sales demonstrated that Android have been sold a lot. Apple products where mainly buyed by people alrady having a device Apple. I think Adroid is going up and games for Android begin to be asked also. For the moment Unity have the Lead, and Shiva engine will release an Android version also ! Well perhaps A8 could consider Android development also ? Same thing for Web Games ; Unity have a bunch of really good games advertisment like this one : Unity Probot Bat bot game Also , for A8 why not porting parts of the engine for Web lightweight games ?

that webplayer is IMO useless crap, for it requires a browser extension - which is an EXE file. I, for one, do _not_ want to install some obscure plugin (and slow my system down with it) if i could as well just download the game itself. if you want to develop web applications, learn flash. period.

i also think manpower required to forge a webplayer could be used in other more usefull areas.

an old fashioned webplayer really wouldn't make much sense. the gamestudio team isn't big enough to support all the browsers, handle security issues, do enough marketing to achieve a big enough install base,... but once gamestudio supports opengl es (it doesn't look like this will happen (soon) but it will be necessary if gamestudio really wants to support the interesting mobile platforms) then it shouldn't be that hard to support google's native client too. google's native client allows to run native code in a secure sandbox in the browser. no installation of a plugin is required. applications compiled for it also automatically are multiplatform (different browsers on windows, linux, osx,...). this would be awesome. if you want to develop web applications, learn flash. period. flash is crap and will be obsolete soon with html5 and webgl. period. period. period.
