RELEASED Overlay Window Project
Hey Guys, I am sure some of you can remeber how I cried about the white window that appears if you are starting the engine. Well, Richi007 wrote me and we started a little project to create an overlay window that you can customize. You can create a design yourself, it should be around 600x400 if you are having some transparency in it. If you don't you can make it 500x350 to cover the white window. You can do several things with our starter: - start your game
- close the starter and don't start the game
- search for an update of your game
- play a sound in the background
- can show a text in an external window with greetings, a help or something you want to tell everybody
- after your game you can have a window that is showing up and that will guide the user to your homepage or whatever
- edit the design and everything with an xml file
The code is done by Richi007 (Felix) and the designs are from me, you can use them if you want. The Version is finished, download it here Link

the covering part is very small (i don't need to write any line of code) but this project can handle more stuff! you can also create a window which is shown at the end of the program, you can also link your website and update the game with this!
it's not only any sort of overlay, you are also able to show news related to your team, game, company in this starter!
the design is fully customizable!
maybe we will add a feature that allows you to create any option screen for resolution, sound volume and something like that (stored in one ore more ini files)
suggestion are welcome!

Why are just two persons happy about a FREE way to cover the startup screen? I wasn't saying I ain't happy (though I have Pro, so to me it didn't matter really ). Which comes to another question... If a pro user compiles a file for a new window, and a user with a lower version uses this (with displaying the logo's as previously stated), is this allowed? Does that even work at all..?

What do you mean exactly? If a Pro user is doing a window in SED without our (great and amazing ) tool and a User with Commercial or Extra is using this window that our Pro users have done? Imho it wont work because you have to compile the window again and than(then) the comemrcial version won't do it. OR if you mean that a com user sends his finished project to a pro user and the pro user compiles for him a new window? For this you ahve to ask JCL as I don't know about the rights in this way, but I think that it is at least not willingly seen because it is a extra for pro users But that is just my opinion
