Interesting - it also seems that the educational version got cheaper. I thought it was around 100 € before taxes but now it seems to be around 80 €...

Absolutely amazing
Did anyone try the auto retopology ?
The manual system was already user friendly but the auto version seem to be really fantastic
Does it work well ?

I tried the volumetric sculpting and I have a hard time with the controls/the tools.
For normal sculpting, they seem to be good, but for non-organic structures they really annoy me at times. For example, if I want to pull the edge of a cube out, that seems to be very difficult. Advanced manipulation seems cool, but the basic stuff is really hard. Also, edges on the "complex primitives" get really weird at times, they're very messed up and not nice and straight. The Complex Primitives video looks great, but it's not as easy as it looks there...
Edit:
Here's what I mean. Maybe I'm just stupid, but this looks disgusting:

Looks like they instantly wrap a high resolution mesh around it, maybe you have to continue with the auto retopology tool afterwards?

EDIT:
It looks partly like it looks in the video when a complex primitive has been doubled.

Ya, I don't really get the whole Volume Tree thingy either, so I often have the same Volume twice, in the same spot, giving me weird artifacts. But even after deleting them, the edges still look bad. And when exporting it, same deal.

It seems like the scale of the model manipulates the resolution. If you place a new Primitive, it tells you how many polygons that primitive has, and if you scale it up it'll have many more polygons.

Dunno, maybe I do have to use auto repology...
