Kill Them All! - Mini-FPS Free Game+Download

Kill Them All

These days I had some free time, so I decided to script this Free Mini-FPS Game and release it here.

Uses the A7 Outdoor level.

Download Link (20mb): http://www.filefront.com/17409917/KillThemAll.exe

Have Fun and comment!

NOTE: It uses Full scene antialiasing plugin as default, if you want to disable FSAA as it eats a lot of fps, go to the game folder and delete the fsaa.dll

Great dude! laugh I really like it, graphics are nice, sounds are good too)))
And its interesting to play laugh
But few things I don't like:
* Player doesn't really crawl, only camera is moving down and up.
* Sounds sometimes aren't following the animations right. They play after animation.
* I think it will be better if player will reload weapon automatically after its clip is empty.
All other ways, just great!!!)))

Well...

Nice first steps, but:

- The muzzle flash is buggy when you walk (try proc_late)
- The moving script is incomplete. I`m missing footstep-sounds, a better feeling (nodding etc.). In addition to that the mouse moving is buggy. Try using mickey.x/y instead of mouse_force. Also, the player can`t swim
- The AI is ... A5 templates.
- The weapon script is incomplete! I never know where I`m shooting because there`sno awhirled dust / flying sparks / splatter in the hit zone.
- The map looks okay, but: I`m missing shadows, better lighting, shaders (water, environment), higher texture resolution, more variety in level design, volumetric grass ... it looks like an old game prototype from 2001/2002.
- The weapon model is very nice
- No main menu
- crappy and stolen Counterstrike sounds

I know this critic is more than hard for you. But: When you`re posting in Showcase II instead of Showcase I you have to mess yourself with the best. And this is nothing more than a half-finished beginner project..

I think you are criticizing too much dude.
Painkiller is working on an other great project, this is just a little shooter game, just for fun and made in few free days.
Not the big commercial Far Cry or Crysis killer... Just small project.
If he'll start working on such details as footsteps, it wouldn't be a little shooter game)) But I agree with you, about weapon particles, it's really hard to see, where do I shoot. Any way, he has done a great work laugh

In this case he should post projects like this in Showcase I and not in Showcase II. Maybe things have changed, but in A6/A5 times Showcase II was only for professional or really good looking projects with real effort and not for minigames using the template maps and buggy / incomplete scripts...

If your 3D screens look great or display some unique effect, post them in here.
People often forget to read this, even though the information is right there.

This looks like a chunk of fun (can't play it, since my brother has taken my mouse and so I can only use my graphics tablet), but is better suited to the Projects forum (as are some other threads here).

Thanks, I also take note note of your recommendations, but as 3rin said, I made this project in three days and in free time, so I could get on with all these details.
About the map, I said that it was just the A7 outdoor level, I just added the enemies and modified some objects.
But I take note for my real serious project, and I like people give me feedback as is a test, so in the real game all all your tips are implemented and the bugs fixed.

Rock on painkiller....
At least it is 3d content...
(From this forum per 3dgs... "...or when it does not have 3D content, please post in the projects forum." That means put 2d stuff not HERE!)
So it follows the 3d suggested requirment un-like so many other 2d projects showing just panels in this forum...
(Even though their work is good it does not belong here period!)
I think there is a lot, I mean a huge amount of 3d work presently being performed that will soon be presented here...
Hopefully... 3d game/simulation quality will rise rather than plumet...
I look forward to seeing your "other" professional project Painkiller...
Thanks for sharing your "quick" project.
Can't wait to see screens from your big project.

(Rondidon... Please take note of the quote at the bottom of my post.)
