The nexus has nothing to do with the map compiler.

The previous compiler versions had a 8192 entities limit. The 8.10 map compiler has no entity limit anymore AFAIK. Still, huge numbers of entities are better created at runtime, with the functions provided in the level.c library. They are created faster this way when no collision detection is required.

An example for this is the infinite_terrain sample.
