OK, next problems, I've formatted the PC, reinstalled everything (that I could find the discs for) and now have no sound with v8.03 or v8.10!

I have noticed now though that Mixer Slider for Gamestudio is always 0 when launching and when exiting (Changing this while the application is running will now play the sound without any issues).

I've downloaded latest sound drivers but can't find a way to resolve this.


The other bug of having a sound created at runtime in a subdirectory is now resolved too. Why I was having these problems will remain a mystery but glad I can narrow it down to something specific.

Any help in resolving this last hurdle would be appreciated.
