Hi, I'm currently writing kind of an RPG which still is pretty basic but I want to show you the progress.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6lMAf-mGfPI

It is a one man project since I'm working quite irregularly on new features.

Significant characteristics are:
- Surroundings based on Mystymood (But will probably be removed due to the overhead of functions)
- Uses own dialog system (with the help of firoballs xml headers)
- Multi terrain shaders used instead of pretextured heighmaps
- Models mostly by arteria3d (to lifelong license was the best decision made in 2010)
- Build time is < 15 seconds for the map
- Lines of code currently @ 10.000
- 2 Dos: A lot wink Lightning, weather regions, quests, finish level design, implement AI, improve UI, add vegetation, use depth of field (shade-c looks nice...), ...

Comments, ideas and criticism is welcome!

looks nice so far!
some questions and remarks:
- the sound quality is really bad
- the terrain is lacking in variety, the ways looks always the same
- is there already kind of storyline?
- background music would be nice
- the playground doesnt really fit with the setting

where do I find firoballs xml headers, maybe Id need it as well:)

new project in early stage...

Hey, the sound of the NPCs has been recorded to show that NPCs can speak, nothing serious wink

Yes the terrain looks pretty boring, I'll try to use decals and more vegetation. Any other ideas?

Storyline: Not yet, thought about a side story / prequel to Harry Potter i.e. the birth and life of Dumbledore but this is not yet planned!

Background music is there but has not been recorded by fraps, don't know why...

Playground: Yes, originally I planned a modern setting but I changed my plans wink I will eventually remove it!

Die Bewohner haben halt nen Dachschaden wink

Yes, will fix this later on, weather is not implemented as it should (snow should later on change the terrain textures). Coming soon, thanks for the feedback.

Looks good, but to my mind it could be better to make it 3rd person. But thats just my opinion laugh All other ways, it looks great.

i think fps is fine, he can then worry less about player animations and blending however add some camera movement and footsteps sounds, other than that, looking nice, has potential
