One good animated model for 100-200 bucks? Thought about buying a great animated model at Dexsoft ( www.dexsoft-games.com)? o.O That´s true good skilled modelers get about 30-40$/€ a hour... for an good model about (4000-5000 Poly) you`ll pay about 200 bucks (whitout animations) Dexsoft sell them cheaper because they sell them more than once, but if you like to have unique models an the exlusiv rigts you have too pay much more...

People, be serious.
Selling your game for 50 bucks is actually pretty good for an indie. If you need thousands to let go of your source code, where all the copyrights are still yours, you are way too attached to your own creations.
There is a problem though.
I'm pretty sure you can't sell on your models bought elsewhere (i.e. DEX-soft), so the buyer needs to get them himself, as if I'm not mistaken you aren't allowed to resell them for profit (which would happen when you sell your game with the resources). Only resources that can be included in the 50$ are the ones you as a seller have copyrights to.
Buyer (robertbruce) doesn't dictate anywhere that he will take the possession of the copyrights, so what actually is happening, is that the publisher (buyer) gives you (seller/developer) one-time payment for the game.
I still think it's a good deal for an indie.

The worthiness of your stuff isn't defined by you, but by the one who buys it. You might think that your code is about 10k worth, but those are wished 10k, the actual price is defined by the other party. While you are still be able to say no to an offer, it doesn't increase the worth of your stuff.
This said, I wouldn't sell my code for $50 either, but only because I have someone else who pays more (which is still way under 10k)

Of course not. As far as I understood it, the games he wants, are small games. Half year project is not a small game.
The thing why it's a good opportunity for indies, especially new ones, is that you get visibility and get paid. If you want to make thousands or even a hundred bucks, you'd need to work hard and hard to get your game good marketing and then just hope people will like it enough.
Selling your game like this will give you directly some cash. Note that you still retain your copyrights to the stuff you've made.
I have to be stupid then to think that getting one-shot pay for a game that you aren't sure would sell is a good thing. To me, I make games because I like to do them, it's fun, though I get paid to do them. If my monthly pay would be on the line on how well my own 10-30 minute game would sell I'd take any opportunity. I would sell my game to this guy, and bunch of other guys. Remember, you still have your copyrights and you are just spreading your game.
Note: You don't lose your game when you sell it to him.
If he would have stated that upon selling the game you lose the copyrights and you aren't allowed to resell it yourself, then the situation would be different, but he didn't so you can. You can still use different publishers.
He just offers publishing method, pays by one-shot and you may get royalties if he gets it set up.
I really don't see how this is a bad thing.
I repeat: You retain your copyright. It's not mentioned anywhere in his post that you'd lose them. You just push your game to a publisher, who converts it to 3D anaglyph and sells it forward.

To clear things up I am offering to pay for one of the following:
Rights to use your source code ------------------------------ As already mentioned, in terms of resources you have to legally be the owner so resources that you have purchased cannot be part of the deal. This is not a problem and I will certainly pay for completed projects that include just source code.
I will still need to see a working demo and the source code should be clear enough to add my resources so they should include clear descriptions of each type of resource used.
Rights to sell your game ------------------------ If you decide to sell your game in an exe format (after 3d conversion) the game is still yours along with all copyright. I have purchased the right of re-sale, not the ownership of your game.
Exchange of resources and single exe ---------------------------------------------
I will pay for you to exchange those resource that are not yours with my resources. You can replace resources with ones I provide into your projects then convert to 3D and create a single exe file.
This will result in a completed game using my resources and your source code (which remains unseen). The game is still tehnically your creation along with all copyrights. Legally this game can be resold as I have purchased the rights to use your source code using my resources.
Since these are finished games this should not take long. I will still need to see a converted 3d demo of your game and if I decide I would like to buy it, a list of all resources required.
Obviously you are not permitted to use any resources I provide in your projects for any other purpose.
I am looking for smaller games although I will consider larger ones.
