Of course not. As far as I understood it, the games he wants, are small games. Half year project is not a small game.

The thing why it's a good opportunity for indies, especially new ones, is that you get visibility and get paid. If you want to make thousands or even a hundred bucks, you'd need to work hard and hard to get your game good marketing and then just hope people will like it enough.

Selling your game like this will give you directly some cash. Note that you still retain your copyrights to the stuff you've made.

I have to be stupid then to think that getting one-shot pay for a game that you aren't sure would sell is a good thing. To me, I make games because I like to do them, it's fun, though I get paid to do them. If my monthly pay would be on the line on how well my own 10-30 minute game would sell I'd take any opportunity. I would sell my game to this guy, and bunch of other guys. Remember, you still have your copyrights and you are just spreading your game.

Note: You don't lose your game when you sell it to him.

If he would have stated that upon selling the game you lose the copyrights and you aren't allowed to resell it yourself, then the situation would be different, but he didn't so you can. You can still use different publishers.

He just offers publishing method, pays by one-shot and you may get royalties if he gets it set up.

I really don't see how this is a bad thing.

I repeat: You retain your copyright. It's not mentioned anywhere in his post that you'd lose them. You just push your game to a publisher, who converts it to 3D anaglyph and sells it forward.
