Jibb, still the meaning of the "Cheers" isn't same with "Vashe zdorovie".
Out of legitimate curiosity (that is, I don't mean to be facetious): why not? To me, saying "It's not 'cheers' -- it's something we say before drinking vodka," is like saying "It's not 'hello' -- it's something we say to greet people."
