Lite-C was really a great development in GameStudio. It somewhat more dangerous as you can do really dirty things like overwriting memory, but on the other hand it is so powerfull, there is nothing you can't do with it.

Concerning your project: I wish you all the best. Are you aware the problems you had in the past are not in any way related to a game engine?

Always learn from history, to be sure you make the same mistakes again...

Ericmor,
I like the cut of your jib...
Ya got an excellent attitude...
I also have taken a pounding with those nasty syntax changes... Grrrrrr.... Release after release... Grrrrrrr
Then, it's taken me a hell of a long time to get up to date moving from C Script to Lite C.... Grrrrrrrrrr
I've taken a beating trying to take my projects up to the next level then the next again and again. And, at the same time keep up to date with engine changes...

Now I find myself accepting a job half way around the world working 7 days a week 10 to 12 hours a day 6 weeks at a shot...
I've run out of steam with no time to spare.... At the end of the day I'm all worked out... Dam'it all to hell...
I love working on my projects but I have no choice but to step back for a spell... Crap.....
Good thing I have found some eager designers to help and pick up my sort of slack.... Dam'it ...

Listen... I do like your spirit... if I can help you in any way... Maybe terrain design... call on me...
There's a lot to be said for getting a little help just to hit your own deadlines...
Keep a stiff upper lip....
laugh
