Hello,
Just had a couple quick questions if you guys could point me in the right direction, I have been having a hard time using the search function to find answers.
Basically I am looking for information on how to connect to a webserver (to check for software updates, and also to get a list of current servers that are running). I figured I could put this stuff on a webserver with sql and php running on it. The only question is how do I connect to it? Also the sql plugin I have heard about (where can I download this?) can this connect to a database on a webserver somewhere? That would allow for me to retrieve server information and populate current sessions going on. Anyways, any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!

As darkinferno pointed out, there's ANet (there's a http version which focuses on http protocolls which I think is what you need), there's also the free GSTNet http://www.gstools.de/index.php/3dgs-plugins-mainmenu-119/gstnet-mainmenu-121 which comes with http functions.

Also, if you own the right 3dgs version (Pro, I believe), http commands are supported natively.
For the functions you described the best way is to have php scripts sitting on your main server which answer the http requests.

ANet supports HTTP and FTP. The according functions are easy to use and exactly what you need (I think).

Try the free demo from www.anet-plugin.com, it supports all you need. There are also examples that show you how things can be done. If you want to publish your game, the ANet Web edition is what you need.

ANet - A stable and secure network plugin with multi-zone, unlimited players, voip, server-list features,... (for A7/A8)!
