it seems as if i don't check the NoFog option in my map entities, the shader effect is lost and the entity appears to be 100% fog shrouded... as if the fog distance was set to 0,45...
is there any way in the shader to lessen the fog effect...
i would like to be able to have a shadered ship emerge from a fog bank
right now i've managed to get a decent metallic ship hull looking bump map effect and put it on a moving 'ship'... and the light affects it nicely as it moves away... kinda cool (thanks to Matt and Drew's generous work and help).
the only alternative that comes immmediately to mind, would be to check the distance from the viewer, and change the entity material beyond a certain distance so that the shader would no longer affect it (wouldn't be able to be seen anyway past a certain distance), and it would be enveloped in the fog.
