The Battle for Forgol
Hello everyone! There is a time to present a project on which work the last 3 years - The Battle for Forgol. It is a platform sidescroller RPG adventure in which young warrior Iglarion must win Dandarach immortal conquerors, who evil magician gave the stone body. To defeat Dandarach he must find five daggers that must be installed in his magic shield - the only weapon that can crash his stone body. To succeed in it he must find the five military leaders, who kept the dagger. In this way the great adventures awaiting him, a large number of monsters, logical tasks, fight, finding equipment that will help him to progress in the adventure, finding friends who will help him in solving puzzles and much more ... Very nice work, good effects! Seems like it was a lot of work, too. Two small things: 1) The green grass, esp. in side scrolling levels, is too transparent and sometimes it looks like it's floating. 2) The "sinus movement animation" of the hearts is IMO very annoying, it's ok when I pickup or use some food/ health potion, but it comes way to often. I would reduce the distance of a heart's maximal pos_y-movement, too.

Yes Superku i agree about hearts this can looks really bored when we play long time but this is my mistake. I forgot turn off variable for this in close_dialog function and level change. This will be used only when player drink pontion or if he found new heart container. About grass... yes like Markus say, for now this is best solution what we have, but oke this level where is grappling hook and litle girl is not finished complete i only put grass random there. In 2d forest levels (now i see i forgot show this levels in video ) this looks much better. Of course if we find some better solution we will fix this . I forgot say, please do not pay atentation on ambient in levels, i was hurry with video (Ratchet is guilty for this ) and when i moved to new beta engine i got some problems with ambients in level and ulit flag, and i do not get time to fix this all. Also action and items panels is only placeholder, in quest book we not yet put map and pointers with player and quest location then now looks really empty, some animations is not finished, and speed is not good and player changes will be updated. I turn off some effect like wind and moving grass beacuse game stuck when i recording video. Also on some places we must fix flickering problems and some levels now is to dark. This is some things wich is not finished for now...

There seems to be ranged attacks though they don't cover much distance, the combat system doesn't seem to be very diverse for a modern day hack-n-slash. There is a slight mistake at 4:11 where the text appears at the top left of the screen for a split second Finally, when in the cave fighting the skeletons is there a way to quickly select different items as you don't pause the game when searching through inventory? Keep up the great work!

Just amazing game ! Animations in the characters really brings it to life compared to screenshots only. The New HUD is top really , now it is perfect, your 3D artist make me jaleous , i would want to be able to do such great Hand paintde textures on levels and characters Will it be on steam ? Keep up the great work !

@MrGuest... lol! first thank you very much on translation, one of most useful answer from begining . Yes i see to many errors, my english is really bad - but oke i never studied English language in school then you must forgive me . Yes dialog also is not polished and i think now sound really funny read my translations . About mistake at 4:11, incredible good eye, tnx i will fix this. If you think on top view battle, yes this is one thing what i also do not like and must be updated. About inventory hmm... no i do not have options for quickly select items or players, beacuse we are limited with 4 numbers of buttons on gamepad, then enter in inventory is only choice. I must freeze game then or something, i will see... @Ratchet Thanks man, i glad you like the new HUD, this is reason why we wait long time for video. We made almost 50 diferent version of HUD and we drop all beacuse we do not like, but the last has survived About Steam, sorry i cant say nothing now i only thinking about to finish the game, then we will see
