Must have been the time pressure but I'm sure ID Soft will fix the bugs soon! I just saw the first 10 minutes of the game on gamestar.de and it looked really good!
Yes, Carmack is probably personally in "rage" mode now and will make a wonderful patch with new features for us
By the way: There is a 15 minutes gameplay video at Gamersglobal where you also see a bit of gun fights. The latter was missing on Gamestar.
