You can already use it as it is (there are no bugs reported so far)! I've already started converting the examples, but the problem is that I don't have much time currently because I'm in the army now. I will give the "Aum76 to ANet" example highest priority, but I can't tell you when I can finish it (~ this week).

Please pn me if you could give me a demo with more players as example 16 to see if anet is laggfree in my newest shooter. Before posting such a nonsense, please get your facts straight about Multiplayer! If you are talking about latency and packet issues, thats natural and happens on the wire and there is nothing Anet can do about it (beside that its not even in the right abstraction layer for this!). If its about the responsiveness of your application and the data is send over the network, then its again not in the Anet abstraction layer and something YOU have to deal with in YOUR code.

I ask for a demo with a higher max of player because i want to test my game with more people before buying. BTW: I converted the old "aum76 to anet" into 1.5 beta and i get while connecting with a client (a client not server-client) the failure:

As JustSid told you, it's not ANet that limits you to a max. player number but how you use the functions and possibilities ANet gives you. If you send the positions of all 16 players every frame, it won't work over internet. Not because ANet is crap, but because the internet connections can't handle the high traffic. ANet produces as less traffic as possible. It only adds data for identifying variables, addressing the receivers,... and such stuff. The traffic consumption of each function is documented in the manual and you can decide for yourself which function is best suited for your case. There are already games like Survive!, a Goldeneye remake, CSIS,... that work great with a high number of players. You can use the "AUM76 to ANet" sample also with a higher number of players to make your own tests. Just increase the player limit in this line: (file: main.h)
