So there I was, giving WED a chance and trying to make something decent with it. It was going well until I decided to add nice little bevel type things on the ceiling, to make the corners look cooler, and discovered that the slice tool can't cut a cube in half diagonally.
Screw WED. How do you people make your levels? I feel like using a model editor like Blender is messy (especially the texturing) and difficult. Is there a brush/block based alternative to WED, that can be used for games that might be sold?

...Unless there's actually a way to perfectly cut things in WED. Then I'd be happier to use it. tongue

dont cut Blocks with the Cutting Tool in WED!
better use the "Edge Move" Tool for a Block, that way you can deform the Block to your desire without using the (in my eyes) useless cutting tool of WED.

Oh... well that makes things a lot easier. I just wish they'd make the camera controls a bit more consistent, but I guess WED isn't all that bad.

Thanks. tongue

Also remember that you cannot create concave blocks in WED unless you set a specific parameter in the map properties window, and this has an impact on the compiling time.

I'm playing around with WED a bit, but whenever I make a concave object, and set the map properties to concave, for some reason the concave object simply disappears in the actual build of the map. Also, whenever I exit WED, and load a level again, the map properties is set back to convex.

Is there something I'm forgetting to do? D:

EDIT: Oh wait, there's a checkbox that says "concave" in the object properties... woops.

Well, another problem I have is water materials. mtlFX.c has a cool water effect that I've applied to a block in WED, but while the effect is there, the texture for the block isn't showing up. What am I doing wrong?
