I cant remember where I saw it, but look to see if your sound card/chip
is even supported by open_al...

I HAD that problem on one machine.
OpenAL installs sucessfully, with no complaints, but it is not available
from gamestudio because my RealTek sound-chip wasnt supported.

I cant tell you more, cause I cant remember WHERE I found the list of
un-supported chipsets, and that computer got scrapped so I cant even
give you the model-number of the RealTek chip it was failing on...
