thanks for the tip schokokeks
I removed internet explorer from my pc and reinstalled gstudio, but the problem still appears.
I found ieframe.dll in my windows folder. Should I delete it ? And if yes, how do I do that, cause it always tells me that I need some allowance from TrustedInstaller.
Or is that some important file?

thx for your answers
valle

Since it is in your windows folder it IS an important file and might be use by different programs. Is there a repair function for the IE? Or try to upgrade the IE to a newer version if possible. Or download a ieframe.dll from the internet and temporarily replace it (save the old file!). Threre are different possibilities for you. Have you ever done a virus check on your system? The ieframe.dll should work wihtout any errors. Maybe you can do an MD5 check to see if the file has been edited by some non authorized program.

ok, tried do delete ieframe.dll for a few days now with no succes. Cause the file has sth to do with internet explorer and I don't have that one anymore on my pc, I don't think it would damage my system.
But I simply can't delete this stupid thing. I already changed the autorisation to delete it from trustedinstaller to me, but I can't delete it in explorer cause ieframe is just by it and if I try in cmd with
regsvr32 /u ieframe.dll I get an error message.
I'm really desperate here and thankful for all answers

I would say that windows probably wouldn't work right without this file so its blocking you from deleting it. This file is a vital part of IE.

Have you tried making a backup of your 3DGS folder, uninstalling 3DGS, completely deleting the folder it was installed to, then redownloading it (important) and reinstalling it?

We already had some problems here with installer files that were damaged on the download.

You can reinstall Gamestudio as often as you want, when this gives you fun - but it normally won't help fixing a problem.

Gamestudio does not modify the Windows system or DLLs. The installer basically just copies files into the Gamestudio folder. Thus after reinstalling it, you normally have exactly the same system with the same problem as before. Reinstalling makes only sense when the Gamestudio installation itself was damaged f.i. by deleting or modifying files.

hi,
sry for not writing so long but I was pretty busy with school. tongue
Thanks Sid, but I meant an editor that's maybe more like SED with debugger and that can compile with acknex. Is there a program like that? Or can I maybe use a c-editor and start acknex with a batchfile?
Thanks for all answers smile

Starting acknex from a batch file is always a solution. You can find the engines command line options here: http://www.conitec.net/beta/a-black.htm

Debugging with SED sucks anyways. A few printfs do a much better job here than SED - at least if you ask me.

You can for example use Notepad++. It's easy to customize the shortcuts here and you can easily define a shortcut for "Run in engine".

Have you tried switching the command help window off while working with SED?

thanks for the tip, it works very well with notepad++. I wrote a batch-file that starts acknex:
Code:
@echo on
cd c:\program files (x86)\gstudio8
start acknex.exe game.c

Then I created a shortcut to this file, which I can start with
ctrl + alt + n. But the project files need to be in the gstudio8 folder, which is very annoying. Can I somehow put them in a folder without getting an error message?

greetings
Valle
