I played it... and from what I see, it is quiet ok for an A4 game prototype created during an overnight hackathon... hm, no, not really either. I strongly agree with Hummel - and it's pretty odd that you posted it although it's sooo obvious that it is bugged almost everywhere. Someone might think you are trolling us... ain't you? I'm sorry.

Its titles EARLY alpha. I expected nothing stable in anyway.


Havent tried it yet, but might get some time tomorrow.

Wow Tough Crowd.

I played it and it is simple, very basic and overall unimpressive. That being said I agree with Rackscha. Its still in Early alpha. There is nothing wrong with it its just boring but for an early alpha demo how much of a game can you expect? If Mercuryus's previous games are any indication i am sure i will be impressed with this one when it is further developed. all games have to start simple and grow from that point.

Keep us updated on the progress.

Ok, I have to make a point: I was a bit harsh, yes. If a complete beginner would have posted the game I would have said "nice for a first try". I just wanted to express my disappointment, because expectations are high when you read what mercuryus imposed over the time. Regarding his new signature:

That is absolutely not true - but as he also makes money with his games afaik and he made several things over the last years, one could expect a certain degree of polish, even for an alpha. Questions:


  • why are the enemies don't moving? If they don't work, don't include them
  • I have 3 lifes, but they are not decreased when I stand on an exploding bomb
  • same question: why don't I get hurt, when a bomb hits me?
  • all trees have alpha sorting errors
  • the music is horrible and way too loud
  • is there an ending to the level?
  • I miss any lightning


The biggest question is: what is the sense, other then that you can run around and place bombs, which are more like puffs of hot air and that you can brake walls with it? There is no challenge.
