I just tried importing it to med. I think the problem with the texture is, MED uses a single texture for the whole model and you use lots of texture throughout the model. Have you tried merging or baking everything together?
Btw, your FBX gives me no errors in MED, just the unfitting textures.
edit:// I see you already "fixed" it. Looks very nice. Now I wonder if my "one texture" theory is correct at all.
