I am using Steempipe's excellent EMBM water shader and it looks wonderful. Two questions/problems though:

1) The code for the water flow (moving the u and v coords) doesn't seem to do anything when I run. The water sits perfectly still. I've tried tweaking values and everything I can think of, but still no movement.

2) My team is submitting our Alpha tomorrow and the test machine will not render the water whatsoever. The water works on the laptops of all my team, but not on the test machine. We just downloaded the newest drivers possible yesterday from ATI. The computer is an Athlon 2600 with 512 MB ram. We are at a standstill trying to figure out whether to abandon the water or not, so any help offered is greatly appreciated.

I don't know much about shaders but I believe some graphic cards can't display certain shaders. You should try to find another shader that works with older graphic cards. (or put another grapic card into the test machine)

Could you give the details of:

-The Gstudio and DX versions you are using.
-The details of the card that is not rendering the effect.

I'll try to shed some light on it if I can.

Eric

Our programming machines are using:
GameStudio Commercial 6.31.4
Ati Radeon 9200 Mobility 64Mb
The shader works perfectly when run on these.

The test machine:
GameStudio - Not Installed
Using Published .Exe to run game
Ati Radeon 9800 Pro 128Mb
Water does not show up at all.

Both Machines have DirectX 9.0C

Thanks for the help.
