didnt read the whole thread but what if you try the older fbx exporter of MED? Export to FBX2006 and FBX2005.
EDIT:
ok did a quick test with a boneanimated model. Export im MED as FBX2006. Then import in MED from FBX2006. The bone was there and the animation too. Should work outside of Gamestudio.

@gri well it seems it does not export boneless animations any one a solution ? models with bones it works. i would like to be able to use all my old mdl models.
So we know that export works with bones, thats not the problem.

sorry, So Realspawn has to stay with GS and dont play around with other engines. Its like in the Song "Hotel California" from the eagles.
