Hello Guys... Well I guess is my first post here, I introduce myself, my name is Simon and well I have a project that I've made called Infernal Underground. It is a FPS developed in cube 2 engine in a beta stage, but actually I have the plan to make a release version of it in 3D Gamestudio (And a little extra info, the project begun the development process in 3d Gamestudio A7 but I left them because I didn't know how to program, now at the university I learned how to program and well I decided to make this). StoryInfernal Underground is based in a story about a water treatment plant where an accident happens and the plant is closed by the major of the city because the accident contaminates the water of the city, you are one of the guards of the plant, one night you arrive and discover than the plant is open and working, so you decide to entry and investigate what happens. http://youtube.com/watch?v=1Vef8pQUbsMProgressThe most part of the progress was the art, eventually we have some soundtracks from beta and well some concept arts that we shared in other communities... The beta was open and free to play, you are welcome to play it and tell us how it is and make a feedback. http://youtube.com/watch?v=iY-WP7dr01UThe video was just Tech testing, nothing else. any suggestions or commentaries are welcome, I'm trying with my team HeXentic Games make a good First Person Shooter with the most Old School stuff. Nothing else to add, see you and I'll wait your commentaries. Uhm... well... you created a room and placed two entities in there. I guess you knew why you put "map" in parentheses on your homepage. Isn't there anything else to see?
Always learn from history, to be sure you make the same mistakes again...

Did no one of you take a look at the first video? Here the full link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Vef8pQUbsMyes, the "tech testing" was crap. Did you use a custom level format and you wanted to show how you load it? anyways, the first video looked quite good. Some old school shooting action. The graphical style is kind of exaggerated (huge bullet trails, exploding pistol shots) but I see nothing wrong with that. The AI seems to be the biggest issue. Btw: do you use the template system?

The first video looks good. I like the map design, reminds of some older fps's. The test room is a joke, looked like the snail/snake was doing it with the floor (weird anims).

looks pretty cool! But if you want to release it with 3D Gamestudio you'll have a lot of work since you are using the default models and code of 'Cube 2: Sauerbraten' The test room is a joke, looked like the snail/snake was doing it with the floor tongue (weird anims). yea, and it has got z-sorting problems

Yeah, well Cube 2 is kinda complicated when you need to apply some modifications on code. About the template system, no I've programmed it, but I wasn't use the action, I've just watched some tutorials about how to move the camera and I did it... About the tech testing... No, I made that map. Anyway I really appreciate the comments here, the idea is make a old school fps, I really like FPS and that's is the reason of I want to make one...
