I would need to export levels from WED, the best would be to FBX, because finally it should be imported to Maya, but currently there is no exporter in Commercial. in the manual it is not detailed, just mentioned that not available in all editions... probably pro only...

I found some old exporters, the ones ending with 2005 and 2006 do not work, and there is one without a version identifier in its name, which is actually 2005 version, but it does not export textures well...

does anybody have some experience with it?

maybe a solution via MED would be also fine, but the WED ase exporter is crashing always, and the mdl exporter of WED works in case of a few entities but buggy for large levels.
