I would suggest Rayne. But honestly, if you want a weird API and bugs, Irrlicht might be more interesting.

do you give it up? Unity3D? of course it sucks, but not bad. I don't wanna use it because everyone uses it, despite I know resistance is futile Esenthel 2? you need to do some C++ tutorials to get familiar with it, but its built in scripting tool makes it easier by doing a lot of settings automatically for you. or you can use visual studio instead. free demo (limited features!), or 199USD. definitely great for 1st or 3rd person games thanks to its streaming world, and character class! its project handling moved towards the Unity style, so I prefer its previous version that is not available officially any more. UDK? only if you are a team. I went through some scripting tutorials, there are both good and bad things in unrealscript. its usage is not very straightforward. Neoaxis 2? if the developer would make a usable documentation probably it would be usable. C# I just realized that JMonkey exists (Java), probably Heelx could tell you more about it... yes, only Rayne remains

I will definitely give it a try, when it's out! Thank you. Not really, but I'm kind a stuck with Acknex ATM.. I don't go any farther, so I wanted to try something new. Hell now! I'm not this desperate, to start working with it I thought about UDK and Neoaxis 2.0, but: * first one isn't good enough for a single person project, I won't pull it on my own.. * second one is still needs some documentation, but maybe in near future, I'll give it a try. Never thought about it, but I'll take a look at it now, thank you I just realized that JMonkey exists (Java) I'll search for this one as well, thank you a lot man! Greets

UDK? only if you are a team. I went through some scripting tutorials, there are both good and bad things in unrealscript. its usage is not very straightforward. It's not that it's not straightforward, it's only unconventional. Imo unrealscript and it's states are perfect for programming game logic. yes, only Rayne remains There was only Rayne from the beginning. We just did not know it back then.

One that might be worth a try is Leadwerks. Btw if you search engine who is alive and well documented, easy for use like Acknex, and it has a good and alive community, it is only Unity i think... but yes i agre - Unity is suck. In the choice of engine, the first thing you look at is what is his community. I think only Unity, Cry Engine, UDK and Acknex is engines who have more than 100 users online at any time. I just check this now. For example: Irrlicht Engine - 0 user online, Esenthel 10, DarkBasic 5, NeoAxis 10, Panda3D 15, Leadwerks 70... simply all is dead or almost dead. If you stuck with new engine there is no one who can help you or give you some advice.

Acknex is engines who have more than 100 users online at any time Unfortunately, I can't agree For example, at the time I write this message, there are only 24 registered member now. And not all of them are Acknex users, but those Zorro retards as well... :< I don't want to try unity, cause I hate it (maybe for no reason, but I do not like it at all).

You always have over 300 guests. Some people just not like login But is there any sense from this users? Do they keep forum more alive? Those who are hiding yes, but there are not mush of them, or am I wrong? Anyway, I would like to see this forum more alive, with logged in users, with contribution threads, with code snippets and tools, not those models and art stuff for sale.. :< Greets
