Hey Gang,

Found something a little weird with the boxes next to the sliders, and can't report it in the bugs section.

I tried entering 75 into one of the boxes, and it shows 57, with the cursor staying to the left of the digits...

Tried entering 1.5 into the boxes, and ended up with 50...

If you enter any decimal starting with 0, it works fine, but anything else gets mangled.

For those of us with shaky hands, being able to enter the correct numbers via the keyboard rather than the sliders is essential... Is there any fix or work-around for this?

Have fun!

Not really - that's just the way Windows MFC handles slider boxes. You must place the cursor carefully. A future Zorro version will probably use a different GUI library that looks prettier and overcomes the MFC issues. But Zorro version 1 is just like a Russian tank - more built for effectivity than for look & feel.

Hey Jcl,

So, to enter a 3 digit number...

Enter first digit...
Arrow right...
Enter second digit...
Arrow right, arrow right...
Enter third digit.

That can make a decent sized hole in your pocket if you're not aware of it. shocked

Have fun!

What we can implement is a flag for disabling entry in the boxes, so that you're forced to use the slider. Or alternatively, a flag for disabling the slider so that you must use the boxes.

Hey Jcl,

Yeah, a flag triggered by a checkbox placed over each entry box...

Checkbox un-checked enables slider, and disables keyboard entry...

Checkbox checked disables slider, and enables keyboard entry.

Sounds like a plan to me laugh Thanks laugh

Have fun!

Hi Radar, jcl. Yes, this has bit me too and been discussed before in the forum. The workaround I've settled on is to mouse the slider close to what I want, and then arrow left or right to fine-tune.

HTH.
