I downloaded it and tried it out.

It's minimal but solid, I like it. The shading seems to be good aswell, especially the simple but clever global illumination (although I don't like their SSAO).

Also the movement isn't as fast as it was in sauerbraten (if I remember it right).
It still is pretty fast but feels comfortable to me.

edit: performance is suprisingly good, even though I'm playing on highest settings and every light casts shadows
fps are always > 120
