...addressing some problems with languages used in game programming (with a focus on C/C++) and kinda brainstorming how a language designed for game programming could look like. I found it to be rather interesting, maybe someone else here will.

Jonathan Blow is the creator of Braid and currently working on The Witness, and somewhat infamous for his opinions afaik.

I didn't get to know Jonathan through his writing, but I personally don't find anything objectionable about his opinions. He actually seems like a pretty reasonable and measured guy.

This is a little old, but this is another video interview of Blow that I found pretty interesting:

I could listen to him talking all the day. Really looking forward to The Witness.

He has some really good ideas for this programming language approach.

What i would like to see is some kind of parallel programming for games like gamestudio has. Maybe even more "complex" to build flowgraphs with shared code, synchronization points and so on...
This would be awesome for the creation complex time-consuming actions like cut scenes or NPC actions

More than just a programming language for game development though I'd personally like to see HSA become more of a thing. Separated architectures are so yesterday, it's like the days when the FPU was still a separate component from the main CPU.
