Very nice work. How long did you work on that skin? I know that texturing is the most time consuming work on a model (at least for me ).

That bot is great. I wonder what you will do with that model.

Best regards,
Frank

Skinning took about 3 hrs... so far (I plan on doing some touch-ups) modeling took about 5 hrs. I drew up some quick concepts first; I find that helps speed up the whole process. UV mapping was a bit crazy on this model because I some how, inverted a few random faces, which I noticed,.. after I was done, so I had to go back and re do some parts. All in all UV mapping took about 6 hrs…

That is quite fast (except of the the uv-mapping ). So you are a practiced modeller and talented painter.

This is a very quick update this is a just Glamour shot testing out the rig and the new Blaster model. Oh yes and he now has a purpose in life, he is the main character in a game I'm working on called "Mica Miner", the game is still a long way off.

Cheers

omg i want one! I like his springy looking shoes a lot. He reminds me of a very boingy technograsshopper, the ear-feelers help in that direction just right. I can picture him jumping around really spryly, kind of naughty doing things like tee-peeing houses and getting into all kinds of mischief like putting vaseline on doorknobs and shoving space potatoes into the plasma drive exhaust pipe. I'd hate to be on his bad side. He looks like he'd have a smart-alecky personality (reminds me a little of Max from Sam and Max) and could possibly get annoying like a Jack Russell terrier in large doses.

The headlight eyes are great... I hope he keeps those elbows, knees and angles well oiled. Also the corrosion is a nice touch. I want those shoes.

You may have a piont... I like him better with the blue golwing eyes, it dose add good colour contrast. It also makes him look more eletric / alive. I think I may adapt that some how into the model thanks for the input man.
