Hi, I thought I might spend some time working on a video set about particles. The tutorials are aimed at beginners to particles but whom have experience in other aspects for coding with 3dgs. So here is the youTube link. How these help someone. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLV6SWUMWCdyCm3UJ7ex5lGfgQSeIjx_I5 Mal

Thanks rayp!
I want to avoid tools at the moment but I think we all need a updated version of a tool.
-- Next video I explore the power of the event to change particles throughout it's lifespan. My burning ship begins to look better.

Video 5 and 6 are uploaded https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLV6SWUMWCdyCm3UJ7ex5lGfgQSeIjx_I5In video 5 and 6 I talk about how to use the particle's event to make realtime changes to the color and movement of each particle. We see how flexible particles can be and how a very simple event can be used to build more complex visuals. Thanks for watching Mal

Video 7 is being uploaded - This video shows assigning bmap's to the particle and swaping bmap's in the particle event.
Next up is video 8 - where I talk about using the particle SKILL's to randomly add dark smoke bmap's to the flames of the effect. ' Thank you Mal

@rayp I might do blood effects in videos after 10, but I am crap for art skills so they would use maps and models from the template folders.
If you want models of blood, you can use 3ds max and blob particles with geometry turned on. I'll see what I come up with but I really want to focus on teaching people the foundation to build what they wish. I'm fearful of the series just becoming cut and paste standard fx.
