In case you're wondering, I recorded this while I was copying several hundred files on a floppy disk. My current floppy drive is so loud, I can hear it through walls about 25 feet away, even with the fan on in the bedroom nearby. It's about as loud as a human voice in normal conversation. I've had these since 2001 (!; hence the created on date). I also have the sound effects of dialing in to the internet with a dial-up connection both a good connection and one that is faulty and messed up. I could add those as well (of the same quality as the floppy disk sound effects, but quieter).
