I have an account with Interactive Brokers (IB) in Hungary. I'm running into an issue with trading ETFs: IB won't let me trade certain ETFs because they lack a Key Information Document (KID) required by EU PRIIPs regulations. They told me they can't issue the KID themselves, and it's something I need to "sort out."
My understanding is that this usually means I need to trade UCITS ETFs, as these are designed for the EU market and come with the necessary KIDs provided by the ETF issuer.
My main question is this: If I modify the existing Asssets files of the corresponding Zorro algo ("Z" algo) to trade UCITS ETFs instead of the current ones, will the trading strategy still function correctly without major issues? I'm concerned about potential differences between the original assets and their UCITS equivalents that might impact the strategy's performance. Also, should I train the given algo in this particular case? (I know I shouldn't with the original assets)
Any insights or experiences with this would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks

Since US ETFs are not available anymore to European traders due to PRIIP regulation, an alternative asset list AssetsZ9E has been included that contains only ETFs that can be traded in Europe. The assets are similar, but not identical to their US counterparts, so the profit is smaller than with US ETFs. The asset list can be set up in the Z.ini or Z9.ini file.
And then this one:
Quote
Z8, Z9, Z10 can be used with any portfolio of stocks and ETFs. The other systems are optimized for a particular set of assets; you can not add, but you can exclude assets from trading.
Thanks AndrewAMD for the info, I indeed missed to read this piece. At least I can't recall I did.
But now it seems to be working fine except for one thing which is quite strange but not sure if it's on my end again.
Could you have a look at the attached screen?
What I found is that the Z9 has calculated the right portfolio of 3 assets as DBXD, TNOW, and PHAU but when used the "Trade" funtion then is resulted in buying EXV8 insted of DBXD. Also, I had to manually enter the TNOW as it had some problem with it symbol I guess, which I still need to look into.
Do you have any idea why this could have occured?

I'm still playing witht the Z8 and Z9 and realized that the next rebalancing is on October 22, 2025 which is longer than the mentioned 5 weeks period in https://zorro-project.com/manual/en/zsystems.htm
