Hey, it's been a long time. I bought this engine way back when I was still in high school. Since then over the years I've jumped around and experimented with other engines. But I was feeling nostalgic lately while visiting family. I was flipping through my old copy of The Official Guide to 3D Gamestudio and remembered I still had my backup CD with the license key.

I'm running Windows 10 and when I tried to run the install file from the CD Windows automatically stopped me with no options to over ride. I tried downloading A7 off the site and it got flagged as a virus.

UPDATE: while writing this I tried to move the license key file from the CD to a folder on my computer and when I dragged it over it didn't copy and disappeared from the CD. It's just gone now?

So 1: Does A7 still work on modern hardware?
2: Are the downloads on this site infected with something?
3: Does this company still give out product keys for products purchased over two decades ago?
