I tried the following: I created a copy of "xxx.sys" in the "temp" folder and deleted the original. Naturally, the "xxx.sys" file now has all the necessary permissions (SYSTEM, Administrator/Gery). I doubted from the start whether this would even help. I’m still getting the same error message: "Access denied" to the "xxx.sys" file.
To be clear: I am not the programmer behind the DLL or "Zorro.exe," nor am I a system administrator who assigns permissions! I am just an ordinary user. So, who exactly is responsible for assigning the permissions for "xxx.sys"? As you surely know, other applications also use this "temp" folder. Does the regular user have to personally ensure that the correct access rights are in place?
Consider this: The DLL has access rights to the 'temp' directory—otherwise, a 'xxx.sys' file wouldn't be there in the first place. The DLL creates an 'xx.sys' file but is then unable to read it—isn't that strange??
I would appreciate a response.
Scrennshot, permissions after copie xxx.sys and permissions "temp"
