I'm not sure if this is a wierd bug specific to my computer or not, but when I have WED, SED, GStudio Help, and MED opened in that EXACT order I get an error and cannot run any GStudio programs (As the error 1242 appears). This error doesn't seem to appear if the programs are opened in any other order. I do have the latest DirectX version, and I am using two monitors, with the help screen on the second, and all the others in the first. My graphics card is the ATI all in wonder 9600...just in case you need the info.

It has to do with the use of two monitors, both screens need the video card, and my guess is WED doesn't likes you using two monitors... At what point does it give the error? When you start WED or when you run your project?

Yes, this can indeed be related to the use of two monitors. But it's also possible that your 3D card does not support a certain order of opening video devices.

Thze difference is that WED and MED open the video device for multiple render targets, while the engine only uses one render target at a time. SED and Help files have no influence on your video device.

Hmmm... I wonder if I can emulate this at home on my FX5600... something to try there. I'll try once I get some sleep today (Working right now) and see how well my card supports that (Although I can watch multiple movies while playing a game.... yes, I have that horrible an attention span lol).
