okay well i modeled some more.. my poly count is more than it should be (1300... or 650..cant remeber.. :P) I think im going to model all tiny detail... for example so far i have the tail lights.. i have the "line" around them modeled in.. than coloured black.. im not sure if ill round em off a bit more.. i think i should use my polies more wisely.. Also I plan to have an openable hood with engine (for the engine im going to cheat and take a picture of my engine bay and texture it to a bump plain).. im also thinking about a rear hatch that opens along with the doors.. but than ill have to do the interior and i am not sure if ill have enough polies for that too... maybe as a seperate project I guess im sort of lucky as i dont only have to rely on images, i can just look out my window or go out side and see how the car really is... and for the front i want just looka t my neighbours car :P anyw ays enough talk heres my model so far

Lookin good so far. I got to work hard to keep up. You guys are way better at modeling than me. This car is really the only model I really put any effort into. Before my virus all my models were like 100 polies. This is really my first full blown model attemp. @Towelie Ok I'll stick with the look. Almost looks exactly like the 80s I-ROC Camaro concept. I'm going make it look more original, even though I'm modeling my dad's '68 Camaro interior. He's got custom classic racing seats and wheel. I'll put a hi-tec nos tank were the back seats would go. This is a simaler model to my dads car. My dad has a sick blower and air scoope. I'll get a photo of it asap. LOL I love those hidden head lights. I should do something like that.

The harsh edge was because the hood is a separate mesh so It can open and reveal the engine.

Depends. Is the work original? You can display it now regardless. The due date isn't for a while. I'd like at least five contestants. I'd like to see some of Scary_Mans auto work. The tail is going to take a while. It's more Ferreri influenced. I completed the front wheel wells. Is this too blocky? Smooth shaded and no back faces in screens. EDIT: At 540 polies. Towelie's tire is more detailed than this!

The front hood needs to be more slanted. The wheel wells are a bit blocky, I'd make some more verticies to make it round. I just completed the Side skirt and front bumper, After I'm done with the rear bumper I'll show you. My car is now at 1198 polygons and I still have to flip it. Heres a picture of the tire: Sorry that its so small. IT says: Verticies: 209, Faces: 312

And heres my final exterior, with the exception of extras such as spoiler, hood and roof scoops and rear view mirrors. Total polycount is 2968. Front Side Back Top Other one... I see what Toz meant about mesh looking a bit ugly with "Gouruad" Shaded With skin applied hopefully this will be eliminated.
