first of, sorry for the english

well, I didn't really know were to post this. I just beginned tweaking a game.
here's what I 'ld like to do :

I've got 2 entities, one is the player, the other's the scene
both are .mdl
on the player I set my.shadow = on , and my.polygon = on for the scene
but my player has no shadow if I do that
so what I'd like to do is to set a low-polygon scene in the wed assign the none texture and disable the collision so that the player shadow'ld be projected on that surface.
I tried to make it passable but the shadow will no longer be projected on it...

I can give you my code if you want but it's really a mess

thanks

You have to turn on stencil shadow, write this
line of code in the top of your script :

var shadow_stencil = on;

BTW, I think this post should move to "Starting with GameStudio".

thanks for your help vlau

but that doesn't work. I couldn't found it in the manual, but isn't this used to make the "invisible" block project a shadow?

that's not what what I would like
all I want is an invible block, no collision with it, but when my player pass over
his my.shadow to be affected as it would have been collision

is there a way to do that ?

I don't really understand what you trying to do.
An invisible block is invisible, how can you cast
shadow on it?

As you said you have 2 mdls : one player and a scene?,
I think the scene is a ground model. If you want to cast
the player's shadow on the ground then add a large block
which is almost the same size of your ground model then
move it under the ground model as close as possible, then
swtich on stencil shadow as I stated above.

If this is not what you want, I think you better post some
screenshots or codes and describe more clealy what you gonna
do exactly.

EDIT
----
It's much better to post it to "Starting with GameStudio"
and you'll find more help.
