Hey all,

I would like to place 3d letters in a level then record it as avi for powerpoint presentation. I dont like how models look but then again I am not a modeler in ANY form.

Something like " WELCOME to our Company meeting " spinning, rotating ect. Shiny lettering would be even better.

Thanks for the help!

Jason

It doesn't take much effort to make 3D letters. It does take some time though, but it is relatively easy to do. Just place a few vertices to form the general shape in an outline form, duplicate it to get the back for depth, and texture it.

Another option is to make an animated GIF.

WED should have letters available under Objects/Add Prefab, no need to model them yourself. You would then have to write a script that moves the camera around the letters instead.

There's a program called FontFX that does this type of stuff very easily and very fast. Costs $49 though
