You could also check out my "how to make levels in MED" tutorial which explains how to make model-only levels. The tutorial needs to be rewritten and until MED's design is fixed, it'll unlikely be rewritten. It applies to the 6.31.4 MED (and even clear back to A4 since MED is virtually unchanged since the A4 times).
