Or maybe, as other programs do, have some sort of "tip of the day" system where a collection of very useful tips (such as keeping models between 2000 and 5000 polygons for the greatest detail and fastest frame rate, or that 256x256 textures render the fastest). In my 2D game, there's a built-in interactive tutorial that explains how things are in it. There are 13 lessons, but they are all quite short.
