Ok, I've now run several levels on several test machines with 6.40.5 team commercial, but did not find anything unusual. So I pulled that support notice.

For finding out what's happening, please try to run a) a different level (like techdemo.wmb), b) a script, and c) a model with your engine, and post the logs of all 3.

...We sent an email to the germany email address, with the three different log files from different demos. we got back this:

"Hello,

we've just noticed that the 6.40 update was for non-team editions only. A
separate 6.40 update for team editions will follow soon.

Best regards
Support / Conitec"

NOTE: I am not the only person getting this shutdown on the first frame. It CANNOT be my machine or thier machines. We all downloaded a new version and update off 3dgs site; followed instructions exactly. And the results remain the same. Either it is the key we have recieved (which works before we patch) or it is the patch itself. We will post the log files if you feel it is still needed, but it feels as if we are going around in circles since we are getting the different answers from different locations of tech support.

See my above post. - Your log indicates that you forgot to save your level, but this is not the only problem - when I do the same I only get an error message. Thus I need more information to find out what you did and whether there's also some issue with your installation.

All 10 team members get this shutdown! We are using 6.31 now until 6.4 is out and ready for us to use bug free.

We have sent the SS's to German HQ via email. The sales rep in Sandiego said :"Im not the person you should be talking to. Do this; try to run a) a different level (like techdemo.wmb), b) a script, and c) a model with your engine, and send the logs of all 3 to the German HQ. He then asked for credit on the email.

Email Send and replyied withing the first day:
Hello,

we've just noticed that the 6.40 update was for non-team editions only. A
separate 6.40 update for team editions will follow soon.

Best regards
Support / Conitec

---------------------------------------------------------------------

The issue is being handled thank you v.much
(this should not be under Starting with Gamestudio. we encounter no problems with 6.31, and Conitec clearly states its a bug for team edition) In the future more education of the program for sales rep's and direct contact with the latest issues that has been send to Conitec's Support in Germany. When all ask you to send them the logfiles to forward them to Conitec Support, or Tell you to forward them to Conitec Support; we get the feeling it will be endless.

So what im saying is, we are going to get the same response from you that we did from directly emailing Conitec's HQ in Germany. I Apologize if I seem rude but the results and answers have been the same for almosut 2 weeks now. "Send your logs to the German HQ" "Send me the logs, I'll send it to Conitec."

If the 6.4 works on your systems then send us your install and then the update you are using. If you are interested in talking us threw so you can see first hand what is happening; the team has skype and we can have a conference call.

I'm afraid you're still the very, very standfast victim of a misinformation.

Unless we have another "German HQ" that I do not know of, your hope for another 6.4 version is in vain. 6.40 Team Commercial works flawlessly so far. No other team has reported any problem. As I've told you last week, the erroneous support notice was pulled.

If you still want our help in this regard, please post in the "Ask Conitec" forum or contact the support, and submit the 3 requested logs. They can be generated in a matter of minutes. I'm confident that we'll then soon find the reason of your and your team's problem.
