In fact i'm ok with proportions for my part caus it's somewhat like the character as made bodybuilding it is like the image of a wall ; it's somewhat original and changes from always same thin heroes : heres is a real heor ready to war During my army service we have collaborated with some commandos guys ; lot of them had a really really massive body like if they had done body building each day ! i will not add more details or polygons , the rest will be on textures and bump map.

For proportions it was like i wanted to escape standard always same bodys. it is borring. but i'll reshape it , morethin bad body, longer hands etc ... for texturing , in the pics i've posted the problem came , from when you unwrap also under wings3 or unwrap 3D , the vertices are cutted (duplicated) that's what maked the broken lightening. i've reweld the vertices and texture, lightning all is ok. that's rocks

The model i made was just a test model in very low poly and veru quick dirty texturing : made that in some 2 hours and doing other things The monster you've begun is really good , you have progressed a lot , i think you can finish it and make it as good as i would do I've been inspired by doom 3 , even if FPS are not my favorite game ! The model is for next gen game style : perhasp not made with 3DGS ! i plan to use 2048 texture for body and 1024 for head with normal maps and specular one. So i post here another model i've done : the hands are somewhat bad : i'll redo them. it's to challenge you marine front wire front back Hwo do you do to have a clickable thumbnail ? i have tried URL , IMAGE tags , but nothing owrks ?

Thanks, I think I finally got the human/humanoid modelling thing down. The model is good, I think you should put up an online portfolio displaying your work for potential employers to look at (I will). For the thumbnails you have to upload with imageshack, and when it gets to the next page copy and paste from the "Thumbnail for forums (1)"

I'm not a pro modeler just a newbbie : but why not a tutorial for a next model : for the marine thats' too late it's finished and i don't want to remake it another time to make pics for the tutorial. For painting , i've begun , i use a lot Dodge and burn tools of photoshop. But i'm not happy with the result , i think i should make a high res version and use a normal map tool to make a normal map, caus painting metal shapes or clothes is not as good as the real normal map !

MORE PROGRESS 724 faces that's just the base, I still have to add the wings, the shoulder things and the spike on the top of one hand before I start unwrapping
