Im having a simalar issue.

Models created in Lightwave3D, exported with UV mapping to 3DS and then imported into MED, mapping is fine, skin is fine (texture is 512 * 512, tried tga, pcx, 24 and 8 bit colours). From MED if i use the Preview in Engine option the texture shows up fine, but when i place the object into a level and run it, the model appears black (in WED the texture shows up fine).

any thoughts?
