Now on to the ugly part. I'm a Conitec employee, but I do not write the model or level editing tools here. I have NO control over what gets done in those departments. I can only give you my opinion on this topic. If you want to see real change in the formats we support, you have to talk with JCL.
Yeah, I understand. Theres just great potential for projects completing not only faster, but graphically better with 3DGS if there was a first-party scene exporter from some major 3rd-party software. Hopefully this could one day be implemented, afterall, the graphical bar has raised quite a bit higher as of late, and model-only levels will be required to compete. No hard feelings though, just tryin' to help. ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif)
@Dan - I remember reading in a few reviews that Max is a bit bloated(version 8 I think), due to supporting old plugins. Mabye this isn't neccesarily true(reviews could be wrong), but if you look at the amount of years between version 6-8, it'd be round 3-4. A fair run of plugin support.

Yes, but this is the first time they have allowed that to happen. I have been modeling with MAX since v2.5. Having to upgrade plugins virtually every MAX upgrade (v3, v4, v6) is a pain especially considering that none of the other 3D app makers was doing this.
