We downloaded the A6 templates agian as you asked and reinstalled them agian.
TECHDEMO: It appears the new script files did indeed get rid of the scripting errors, We now get this "Error E1307 <TERR-L1.hmp> bad hmp format" and it closes after clicking on ok.
I created a new level with just a house primative and a block as the entry.
I then built the level and ran the level, it shows the A6 engine window and closes after about 1 to 2 secs, no errors.
when i include the techdemo.wmb level in the run line it builds fine and when i run it i see the entry to the level, the inside of the building after about 2 seconds the A6 engine closes no error.
The engine for some reason just shuts down.
If i reinstall the trial version of A6 and then run our purchased key making the trial ""Game Studio Team Com 6.11.4 /WED V6.269".
I then run the techdemo i get the A6 engine logo and it runs fine.
i can also make a level with just a house primitive and a block and it runs fine also.
So here is a snynopsis.
1. We have the A6 Team comm version
2. Team comm version "Game Studio Team Com 6.11.4 /WED V6.269" runs great and will work with just a block as a level.
3. 6.40 has been released as an official upgrade (not beta)
4. when we properly upgrade the team comm version from "Game Studio Team Com 6.11.4 /WED V6.269" to ""Game Studio Team Com 6.40.5 / WED V6.731" the engine will no longer run any level without the engine shutting down.
5. Contacting support i have very little trust in as explained in my first post to this thread, first they said 6.40 upgrade does not work and that a TEAM version will be released then they decide it does work and dont inform us until we get tired of waiting a month and e-mail then agian, then they tell us that the patch works for all versions.
***we have sent off yet another support e-mail explaining everything in this thread as we did a month ago!***
Now my questions are simple.
Why can we run "Game Studio Team Com 6.11.4 /WED V6.269" without a problem?
why does 6.40 upgrade to ""Game Studio Team Com 6.40.5 / WED V6.731" cause OUR version to shut down the engine?
Can anyone validate that upgrading a team comm version to 6.40 works?
How do they generate the version keys? and is there a possible version compatablity issue from that?
Is there a human being i can speak to LIVE while in WED to prove everything we are doing is being done correctly, so some focus can be directed at the software and not the users.
Should i make a movie of the entire process for people to see with there own eyes.
Is there a person that i can give one of our keys to, to try and see if they can make a install work? (on loan only of course)
Please help us with these very important problems and i thank you in advance "jcl" "or anyone else" for your attention to this issues.
