Sorry, I know this question must have been asked a lot of times.

What I need is a good 3d modeling software that could be used to make models for WED. If there is none, (in my opinion very possible) could I at least have a good pointer to a tutorial? I need to get started making my own models, because the selection is very limiting.

Thanks to all who respond.

why not use MED??? you can use blender a modeling software, but I think you would need a plug-inn to make it able to import it to med and save as a .mdl7 or somthing I hope this helps just search on google.com for Blender it's free and the only best free modeling tool out their if you want a better tool than that you will need to look at costly modeling software.

Hiya.

Wings 3D is a good modeler ( http://www.wings3d.com ). Milkshape is a pretty cheap one ($25 or something like that), and it has a TON of import/export formats ( http://www.swissquake.ch/chumbalum-soft/index.html ). Caligari's gameSpace is pretty decent too ( http://www.caligari.com/gamespace/ ), but it's more expensive than you probably want to spend.

I tried out wings 3d, and it's cool. Thanks.

For wings 3d though, is it possible to make textures and how?

Thanks for the help Paul.
