Hi guys,

I was going through the workshops tutorials and just found out, to my surprise, that WED considers "Z" as the "height/vertical" position of an object. That's kind of odd! I thought Y was supposed to correspond to the "height/vertical" position of an object, and Z was supposed to be the "depth"...

Is there a reason for this mix up in WED respect to the typical conventions? Just curious!

Because in WED you see things from 2D Views, when you click on the Object Properties, the positions given there are the real position you can use for your ent_create, etc scripts.

That's a really good method to position objects making sure I remember z = height in 3DGS.

Can anyone briefly explain whats the difference between World Position and Local Position in 3DGS?

I understand World Position is the position of an object's origin point respect to the origin point of the 3D World 0-0-0,(I hope I'm correct on this one)..

But what about Local Position? Where's that point of origin? Etc.

Thank you! Great stuff! This should be posted in the DOCS downloads of Conitec's page. :-)
