I don't know if this is the kind of "demo" that you want, but I offer up my new physics education game demo reel. It's 19mins long, WMV format, and approx. 90 MB.

I can always convert it to AVI or downsize it if need be.

Thanks, but 90 MB are a little to big for just a WMV. We're more interested in demos in form of trial versions that the user can do something with. If there's no trial version, the best way to advertise is the 3rd party section on our download page.

I think they want stuff to "play around with"... meaning code to look at and modify, or a tool to create some useful things.

Otherwise I would offer a demo of my game (~13MB) as well, but I'm afraid that's not what they are searching for.
